Bio

Howdy! My name is Audrey and I am a printmaker and zinester. I love words and I much more to say than what could fit in a single image so zines are one of my true loves. At the start of 2023, I set myself the challenge of making a new zine every week for rest of the year. Through this challenge, I have given myself the opportunity to explore a variety of structures and push the boundaries of what I consider to be a zine. My zines act almost as confessionals, where I write about my thoughts and experiences as a person who deals with depression and other mental health struggles. I’ve lived with my depression for most of my life at this point, but only in recent years have become comfortable talking with other about it. Creating zines offers me catharsis and I hope those who read them and can relate to them know that it’s not a shameful thing to deal with.

I’ve come out to my dad three times already and I would bet good money that he’s forgotten again - A 12 page zine about my dad putting a playboy in the bathroom and how he keeps forgetting that I’ve come out to him. Purchase here.

spiteful, maybe - A zine made out of an old cassette tape with the text of the zine replacing the tape, leaving the viewer to have to wind the tape by hand to read. In the text, i am reflecting on my relationship with music and the relationships I have with an ex and a friend who have shared music with me. Purchase here.
