Bio

Hi! I'm Rubin (she/her & he/him), the artist behind Cape Gloam Press. Its my life goal to distill all of my daydreams into my art and poetry and stories. I'm passionate about freakifying the normal and normalizing the freaks. I wear a dog collar in public. Life is too short to be normal—too short to not love yourself. That's what my work is about! I've only just gotten started independently publishing my work as zines! I hope you'll follow to see the stuff I'm making next! I've got some projects I'm working on right now that I'm so excited to share when they're ready.

Zines

My Dogs Got Peach Fuzz, $8 - a chapbook of 16 poems, which touch on themes of digital disillusionment, struggling to find love inside college Grindr hookup culture, and curing gay pining through furry fantasy daydreams. Purchase here.

I'm Not Ready To Leave, $8 - a chapbook of 15 poems, most of which are letters to the close friends I made in college. I cried while writing every poem, and I still can't reread it without crying. Purchase here.

Other Work

I'm always open for furry art commissions!
