Bio

I have many hobbies and interests, but my histories with journalism, art, writing, photography, and crafting are what led me to start making zines. Growing up, I felt very negatively effected by the toxicity of magazines—I’d even notice when the front covers I passed by in the grocery store would feature toxic, diet-culture, gossip trash. Since then, it’s been my dream to create a publication free from all of that influence—one that would elevate rising artists and give them a platform to share their work, while contributing to important causes. With The SOUR Collective, I feature artwork, writing, photography, and more sent in by contributors from all around the world! Each month I produce a new issue focusing on a specific topic, and there’s usually a corresponding nonprofit organization relating to the topic where I donate a portion of the proceeds.

Zines

Issue #20: Gender, $10 - This issue features artistic pieces as well as thoughtful conversations focusing on the topics of gender identity and gender expression. A portion of the proceeds is donated to the National Center for Transgender Equality. Purchase here.

Issue #19: The Dandelion Issue, $10 - A zine all about dandelions!! In this issue, you’ll find recipes using all parts of the dandelion plant, a dandelion foraging guide, plenty of artwork and photography of dandelions, and more! Purchase here.

Issue #13: The Coffee Issue, $10 - (Personally my favorite zine I’ve made) This issue includes a spread following the process of how coffee is made from a seed all the way to a cup of coffee, a guide to different types of coffee drinks, poetry and prose depicting love for coffee, artwork made using coffee as paint, and so much more! Purchase here.

Issue #11: COLORS, $10 - (Best seller) This is a unique zine issue for us! Each page/spread is assigned a different color and only features artwork/photography in that color. Purchase here.
